Daily Challenges Cheat Sheet (WIP)
Build Anything in a Shelter in Free Cam
Everyone gets a free shelter in the game (Google if you don't have one), and Free Cam is a mode you can toggle while building. Pretty straightforward.
Build a Turret or Trap in a Workshop or C.A.M.P.
To complete this challenge, simply build a turret or trap in your C.A.M.P. or any workshop. Make sure to have the necessary materials and plans unlocked. There's a perk that allows you to build plans with less resources in Workshops, so I recommend that (plus then you don't have to worry about your C.A.M.P. budget).
Claim a Workshop
Workshops are those places on the map identified with that little circle icon that looks like a hammer & a wrench. It costs 25 caps or so to claim a workshop, and you do it by going up to the red workbench (they all have it). Just make sure it's not already claimed though, because there's a chance for PVP if you try to take it from someone else!
Collect Pre-war Food
The best thing you can do for this is to have some kind of resource generator in your C.A.M.P. that makes pre-war food (popcorn machine, Nuka-Cola Candy Machine, coffee machines), but if you don't that's fine because it's still easy to find (not a bad idea to check other C.A.M.P.s though, too). Pre-war food can be scavenged from Wavy Willard's, Aaronholt Homestead, Tyler County Fairfrounds, Portside Pub, Camden Park, Green Country Lodge, and more.
Collect RadAway or Rad-X
RadAway: Easy to find, commonly found in chem boxes on walls and in enemy loot (common drop for feral ghouls, which you can find a ton of hanging out in Morgantown). Can also be purchased from vendors like train stations and traveling merchants. Public events often drop it as a reward. For specific locations, three can be found at the RadAway toss stand at Nuka-World on Tour (two on the counter, one in the bucket closest to the stand). One can be found inside the garage at the Red Rocket filling station.
Rad-X: Most enemies drop it but again it is most commonly found with the feral ghouls. Also like the RadAway, you can buy it from most vendors or medical supplies vending machines. Standard Rad-X cannot be crafted, but it can be combined with Purified Water to make the diluted version (not sure whether this counts for the challenge or not, I'll check and update). It has a chance of being a reward for almost every quest and has a chance of being found in most containers. For a specific location, you can find three Rad-X on a shelf in the small building outside the Glassed Cavern (Cranberry Bog, lower right corner of the map).
Collect Toilet Paper
Travel to Whitespring exterior and turn left at spawn, see the red one-floor building and go in here as it is a laundry/bathroom. You can also hit the third floor bathroom at Van Lowe's Taxidermy in Lewisburg (6 rolls).
Collect or Scrap Coal
Can be mined from veins found in Gauley Mine (Forest region, southeast of Landview Lighthouse) and The Burning Mine (Ash Heap, between Mount Blair and Lewisburg). If you have a Santatron Collectron station, there's a 9.58% collection chance.
Complete the Event: "Invaders From Beyond"
This event features waves of alien invaders attacking various locations. Players must work together to fend off the invaders and complete event-specific objectives. Keep an eye on the event timer and be prepared for a challenging fight!
Consume a "Vintage" Alcoholic Beverage
The Moonshine Jamboree event is the best way I've found to collect vintage booze. It awards up to six Mire Magic Moonshines, with a possibility for the vintage variant. Do this event enough times and over time you'll stock up a nice supply of vintage moonshine to enjoy whenever you encounter this challenge!
Cripple a Mole Miner
If there isn't an active Tunnel of Love event happening, Welch is full of mole miners. Fast travel to Nuka Cola World for free to have a cheap trip to Welch Station (slightly more East than Welch itself so maybe a cap or two less, and then you're on the outskirts so you can snipe or stealth your way in if that's your style).
Catch a Fish while it is Raining
Rain is common but this is tough because it's random. The best thing you can do is have a weather control station in your C.A.M.P or come across someone who has one, but if that's not an option then you can just server hop or re-roll. Some people say it rains more in the Mire, not sure if that's true or not.
Destroy a Robot
Go to Watoga. There's probably other good spots but I've never needed another one, and I don't think I've ever had to server hop for it either. The protectrons re-spawn fast over there. Don't forget to check the upper floors (outside) too, as the bots are really just all over the place!
Eat a Cake, Pie, or Candy
Turns out popcorn counts as a candy, lol! This one is easy for me since I have a popcorn machine, but for you I recommend hitting up player C.A.M.P.s to use their machines. You CAN go looking around the map for things like the funnel cake (one for sale at Nuka Cola World, two to be scavenged from Funnel Fun stand at the Tyler County Fairgrounds) or the perfectly preserved pie (one in Watoga), or some of the other options, but I think machines are the easiest way to get this done even if you yourself don't own one.
Kill an Angler
Your best bet is to head to the Gnarled Shallows, where there's supposed to be at least three (and there's supposed to be three more north of that area). That's where I go but you can also find them at Thunder Mountain Substation TM-01. You have chances of finding them at Braxson's Quality Medical Supplies and Pylon V-13. They also spawn during the Moonshine Jamboree event, if that happens to be running.
Kill a Canine
Yeah I hate this one too. If you can't re-roll it and you have to complete it, head to Autumn Acres Cabin as there are about five wolves outside. I prefer to imagine I'm just tranquilizing them, since they're always respawned when I return!
Kill a Feral ghoul
Feral ghouls can be found all over Appalachia, but some of the best locations to farm them are in the Forest region, particularly around Morgantown and the Charleston area. They are also common in the Ash Heap region. I like Morgantown best though, because there's a ton very visible from the fast travel point and they're all sleeping on the ground. Very easy to snipe.
Kill a Gulper
Many waves of gulpers spawn during the Moonshine Jamboree public event. If that's not going on, you can always find four at Gulper Lagoon (on the northeast side of the map). Two can also be found north-northwest of Dyer Chemical (in the Mire). Chances of spawning at Treetops, Pylon V-13, Dolly Sods, and Beckwith farm.
Kill a Human Enemy
Easiest way is to find Blood Eagles. My favorite place to go is Summersville (easy to stealth in and snipe, not the MOST popular spot so less likely to be cleared out, but there's only 9 of them), however, you can also find 12 at Rollins Labor Camp, 8 at Crimson Prospect, 7 at The Sludge Works, and a lot of other places.
Kill a Mole Miner
(Same as Cripple a Mole Miner) If there isn't an active Tunnel of Love event happening, Welch is full of mole miners. Fast travel to Nuka Cola World for free to have a cheap trip to Welch Station (slightly more East than Welch itself so maybe a cap or two less, and then you're on the outskirts so you can snipe or stealth your way in if that's your style).
Kill a Mole Rat
Four can always be found in the gates of Transmission station 1AT-U03, and three can always be found at Gren Country Lodge. You can also find them outside Riverside Manor, at the parking lot of Landview Lighthouse, and at Hillfolk Hotdogs. Hillfolk is my favorite spot for this one, because it has five which is usually enough for the challenge.
Kill a Snallygaster
Seven can be found at the flooded trainyard, but of course that's always going to be the most popular spot so you might have to server hop a bit. Some alternatives include: three at Toxic Larry's Meat 'n Go, two in Charleston between the Capitol Building and the Hornwright Industrial headquarters, and one is located at Federal Disposal Field HZ-21. Chances of spawning: one on the fifth floor of the Garrahan Estate, two at Pylon V-13, three at Kiddie Corner Cabins (good spot for me as my C.A.M.P. is nearby), sometimes at the Treetops, and sometimes at the crashed vertibird behind Hemlock Holes. Lastly, one is encountered in Vault 96 during A Satisfied Conscience.
Kill an Enemy in the Ash Heap Region
The Ash Heap region is the gray-ish south-west corner of the map, where Nuka Cola World is. There's some mirelurks at Lake Reynolds that are easy and of course, practically free to fast travel to but you can also hit up Lewisburg, Mount Blair, and Brim Quarry for fast combat.
Kill an Enemy in the Toxic Valley Region
The Toxic Valley region is that sandy patch of the map toward the north, where Wavy Willard's is. I'd advise you to bring some kind of radiation protection.
Pick a Lock
Locks are based on levels, personally I don't bother with them usually so my level is 0 and that's what I'll be listing. There are three in the grenhouses behind the Vault-Tex Agricultural Research Center (see pics below), two at Camden Park, two at Orwell Orchads (upstairs in a house + upstairs in the barn), two at New Gad, one in the Isolated Cabin near Vault 76, and more.
Scrap junk to produce Lead
Lucky Hole Mine has some lead ore. There's also the Charleston Firehouse and the hotel in Flatwoods, which have weight rooms. Common junk that has lead includes: car batteries, paint cans, most toys. It can also be dropped from destroyed Protectrons.
Scrap junk to produce Plastic
Super easy, lots of random junk has plastic in it. Seriously just go loot any random building and you'll probably find what you need. However if you want a ton fast, there's about 70+ inside the Morgantown High School gym: plastic pumpkins, plates, golf balls, etc. Watoga High has even more, 100+.
Scrap junk to produce Steel
This one is pretty easy. Steel is in a lot: weapons, tools, enemy drops, most junk. Wayward and Flatwoods are easy spots if you need them.
Take a Camera Picture of an Alien Invader
This is a special challenge only available during the "Invaders from Beyond" event. Make sure to have your camera ready and be on the lookout for the alien invaders that appear during this event. Keep in mind the invaders are the big guys specificially, not the common aliens.
