Wii Games

The Nintendo Wii was the only console I had growing up, aside from the DS and DSi (which explains a lot of the titles in this collection). Even after exploring other systems as an adult, it's probably still my most-played - simply because it was all I knew for so long. While the Wii is often labeled as a casual gaming system for "non-gamers" (anyone who plays a game is a gamer in my book, but thats another discussion), I think its innovation is underrated. Motion controls were a bold, ambitious step, pushing the boundaries of gaming not just for sales, but for pure fun and novelty.

Sure, Nintendo is a giant corporation, but there's something whimsical about the Wii - an essence of optimism for the future, one in which we can play tennis in our living rooms together and life is good. If I want something more competitive, I'll probably boot up a different system, but when I just want to move without leaving the house, nothing beats a quick Wii Fit session or exploring Wuhu Island in Sports Resort :)
